POLYURETHENE COATINGS

High Performance Polyurethane Coatings

P-Series
This two package polyurethane represents the ideal coating for general industrial finishing, as well as being the most commonly selected system for business machine/computer case texturing. Its physical and chemical resistances allow for application to most metal, plastic, and composite surfaces without pretreating or priming the substrate. P-Series has been a long standing specified coating for IBM computer cases.

HST-Series
This urethane system has been developed to meet today's environmental requirements. Established as the high solids counterpart to the P-Series line, the HST Urethanes incorporate the same high standard of chemical and physical properties to meet demanding industrial applications. This system meets a V.O.C. of 3.5 lbs./gal. maximum when catalyzed and reduced and can be easily sprayed as both a smooth coat or a texture coat.

A-Series
A very high quality exterior grade acrylic polyurethane coating which has outstanding weatherability and excellent durability. Designed primarily for transportation, marine and high performance maintenance finishing this line represents the best in exterior protective coatings. The A-Series urethane system should be selected where a Class A automotive grade finish is desired. A-Series urethanes provide a perfect balance of chemical and physical properties for each specific application.

W-Series

One Component:
This coating system is a single component water base urethane designed for general use on metal, plastic, and wood surfaces. Cured films yield a good balance of chemical resistance and physical properties providing protection and durability for both interior and exterior applications. A low V.O.C. of 2.5 lbs./gal. and a non-flammable rating are two additional advantages furnished by this water base technology.

Two Component:
The WU2K line of water base urethane coatings are highly specialized and ultra low in V.O.C. (1 -2 lbs./gal. max., minus water). This coating system represents the most recent developments in two component water base technology. OEM's have selected this coating as an alternative to single component systems, where chemical resistance and physical durability are of the utmost importance. Cured films remain tough and durable for both interior and exterior use, as evidenced by this system's qualification by the Army Research Laboratory for use by all branches of the Department of Defense under the specification MIL-DTL-64159.

Spectrafil Series
The Spectrafil Series of high performance polyurethane primer surfacers, are two
component polyurethane coatings designed to fill or hide surface defects or imperfections on metal, castings, plastic, wood, and structural foam substrates. These materials are for use specifically as a primer or intermediate coat to build up coating thickness, and promote the adhesion of the topcoat. This line of urethanes are available as a conventional solids Spectrafil-P, a high solids version Spectrafil-HST, as well as a water base Spectrafil-W and can be topcoated with virtually any industrial finish coating.
