MIXING RATIO : The mixing ratio of these coatings are always listed by volume unless specifically stated separately, and are 2 parts component A to 1 part comonent B to 1/2 part Deionized Water. Mix component B into component A using vigorous mechanical agitation (ie: Jiffy mixer) to insure the proper incorporation of both components. Always use Deionized Water to thin the coating. These materials are sold in Kits. Kit sizes include: 1-1/2
Quarts - 1 Quart Component A, 1 Pint Component B Larger volume packaging, 5 gallon pails or 50 gallon drums is available upon request. APPLICATION : This material may be applied by any conventional spray method. Recommended atomizing air pressure should be between 35 - 45 psi. For pressure pots; Line pressure of 55 - 65 psi. , pot pressure between 6 - 15 psi. , atomizing air can be adjusted to desired pattern. Dry films should be in the range of 1.8 - 2.2 mils. to obtain the listed performance characteristics. When applying, do not exceed 6 - 7 wet mils due to the possibility of blistering with excessive one coat wet film builds. CURING : At 77 F, sufficient cure will be achieved after 10 - 14 days. The coating may be force dried by heating in an oven at temperatures ranging from 150 - 220 F, and times ranging from 1 hour to 24 hours. Force dry these materials only after a 4 - 6 hour dry time at ambient conditions. A 5 - 7 day set cycle should be allowed before any testing is to be performed. | PRODUCT LIMITATIONS |
| Do not vary catalyst ratio, this material has been formulated to achieve its optimum performance properties at listed ratios. Do not heat while applying, mixing, or storing. Heat shortens the pot life and shelf life of the materials. Protect all Spectrum Polyurethane products from moisture, heat, and store inside in ambient conditions. Temperature and humidity will effect drying times, cure rate, and color. |
